Meet Our Consultants

Deb is a Licensed Professional Counselor. She is a certified EMDR Therapist and Consultant in Training. Her experience includes residential, outpatient and outreach settings through a community mental health agency,  oversight for masters level interns in a college counseling center, and worked in leadership for Student Development in a University setting .  She currently works in a group private practice in West Michigan where she enjoys the variety of working with children, teens and adults.   Deb is a member of the Association for Play Therapy and EMDRIA. She has provided workshops on integrating creativity and play with EMDR and other trauma sensitive therapy.  She recently joined the Michigan Tri County Trauma Recovery Network and is a direct referral source for first responders from her local fire department.  

Paula Goodman is a Licensed Professional Counselor in the State of Michigan and a certified EMDR therapist through EMDRIA. She is also a Certified Advanced Alcohol and Drug Counselor,through the State of Michigan, bringing a strong clinical foundation to her work with individuals facing substance use, mental health challenges, and trauma.

With more than thirty years of experience in the criminal justice system, Paula offers a grounded, compassionate, and collaborative approach. She understands that reaching out for help can be difficult, and she honors the courage it takes to take that first step. Her style centers on working side‑by‑side with clients to identify their goals, explore their experiences, and build meaningful, sustainable change.

Paula is committed to creating a safe, supportive environment where clients feel heard, respected, and empowered throughout their healing process.

Christine is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) and EMDRIA approved consultant. Currently, she works in a group private practice in Troy, MI. Christine started her journey working with trauma in 2004 as a sexual assault crisis counselor. Since then, she has helped clients heal from a variety of traumatic experiences: childhood sexual abuse, physical abuse, car accidents, natural disasters, school shootings, and domestic violence. Christine is also a co-coordinator of the Michigan Tri-County Trauma Recovery Network which is a volunteer network that helps to respond to community traumas.

Hi! My name is Amanda and I am an LMFT in Kentucky. I currently work at a group practice in a rural small town in Kentucky. I have been practicing EMDR since 2021. I am a EMDR certified clinician and an EMDR Consultant in training! I have a passion for working with adults and I have experience working in community mental health, psychiatric acute and residential care hospitals and private practice. I have also been trained in Authenticity therapy and BSOTR (brief solution oriented trauma resolution) therapy. 

A fun fact about myself is that my favorite hobby is traveling the world! I have done mental health work in Italy and Thailand!
